The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Training Academy is a regional training academy licensed by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE). The mission of the training staff is to provide all students with realistic, reliable, and relevant training. The Academy provides training for both in-service and new recruit training. Training is offered in three formats: traditional classroom courses, field or practical application training, and e-training. The Academy charges a nominal fee to individuals commissioned by agencies not funded by Montgomery County.
Every year the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Training Academy holds a Basic Peace Officer Course (BPOC) that introduces students to the study of being a commissioned peace officer for the state of Texas. For more information click 2015 BPOC and follow the instructions on the announcement to begin the application process. You may contact John.Nichols@mctx.org for questions about the cadet academy.
