The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office training academy, named the Captain Clint Peoples Training Academy, consists of two classrooms, a large multi-purpose training room, and offices for the training division of the Sheriff's Office.  The training staff is comprised of the Training Academy Coordinator, Lieutenant Kenneth Culbreath, three training Corporals, a rangemaster, a registrar, and a part time clerk.  The Academy provides law enforcement courses to officers within the Sheriff's Office and most classes are offered to outside agencies in the surrounding areas.  The classroom topics are varied and consist of continuing education, tactical, and state mandated courses.  The Academy also coordinates the agency's tactical teams, honor guard, and firearms qualifications programs.
