Individuals seeking free or low-cost legal assistance can find more information at TexasLawHelp, which helps low and moderate income Texans find free legal aid programs in their communities.
If you do not qualify for legal aid, contact the Lawyer Referral Information Service at 1-800-252-9690. Through the Referral Service, you can have a thirty-minute consultation with an attorney for $20.00. At the end of the consultation, the attorney will determine if they will be able to represent you and what the price will be. The Lawyer Referral Information Service is not a pro bono or reduced fee program.
