Captain Ariola
 
Kenneth Ariola is from Center in Shelby County, Texas. He attended Reagan High School followed by Lon Morris College and the University of Houston Downtown. Ken served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1964-1968 and in Vietnam from 1965-1968. After the service, Ken worked for the Texas Department of Public Safety from 1968 to 1996 (28 years). While in patrol, he was stationed in Corpus Christi until moving into the Houston Narcotics Division in 1975, Austin Narcotics from 1981-1991, Conroe Narcotics from 1991-1996, and Narcotics Special Training for Clandestine Labs from 1996-1999. Ken began with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office as a detective in 1999 before promotion to Lieutenant of the Special Investigation Unit in 2000. He was promoted to Captain in 2004 and tasked with operating the law enforcement division. He served as the Jail Administrator in 2005 before assuming command of the Patrol Division in 2006. Ken returned to the Jail as its Administrator in 2009 after the retirement of the prior Administrator.
