Inspector Fluellen
 
Inspector Fluellen’s responsibilities are to inspect and audit departmental programs and operations for efficiency, uniformity, and compliance with established procedures and to develop recommendations for improvement. Inspector Fluellen represents Sheriff Gage at public meetings and is the liaison with other governmental agencies. He is also tasked with conducting special investigations at the direction of the Sheriff. Ike Fluellen was appointed Captain of the Patrol Division by Sheriff Tommy Gage in January 2005 and was appointed the first Inspector for the agency in 2006. This appointment marked his second tour of duty with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. In 1982, he was a Sergeant in the Patrol Division when he resigned to accept employment with the Texas Department of Public Safety. He was a Trooper in the Highway Patrol Service in Conroe until 1987 when he was promoted to Sergeant in the Criminal Intelligence Service. In 1994, he went to work for the North Harris Montgomery Community College District and served as Coordinator of Public Safety and Security until 2000. In 2000, he was appointed Chief of Police of the Aldine Independent School District, and served in that position until his return to the Sheriff's Office. He is a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and holds a Master Peace Officer Certification.
